Haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is a rodent-borne potentially severe haemorrhagic disease caused by Old World Hantaviruses characterised by high fever, malaise, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, backache, abdominal pain, oliguria/renal failure and systemic haemorrhagic manifestations. |
