The CDCREC 1.2 version is the most current published version. The only change in CDCREC 1.2 is the spelling correction of “Israeili” to “Israeli”. The US Core Implementation Guide, 6.1.0-STU6, references CDCREC 1.0 in the race and ethnicity Extensions (HL7.FHIR.US.CORE\Profiles and Extensions). ONC Health IT Certification Program requires Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to use CDCREC 1.0 code system for race and ethnicity data (§170.315(a)(5) Demographics). Based on comments and dependencies on the previously proposed code system, no new code system will be published at this time. CDC/NCHS continues to work with internal and external stakeholders on CDCREC Code System update project. For any further inquiries, please contact REcodes@cdc.gov

Value sets to be used for the self-reporting of Occupational Data for Health (ODH) within Health IT Systems: Industry, Occupation, Employment Status, Work Schedule, Work Classification, and Job Supervisory Level. The Industry value set is based on the 2012 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) with index terms. The Occupation value set is based on the Occupational Information Network extension of the 2010 Standard Occupation Classification (O*NET-SOC) with alternate titles.
